I worked with Richard on my interview skills while looking for a senior permanent role in the food and beverage industry. After a few unsuccessful interviews I realised that I needed to up my interview skills and that mock interview with a coach would be best for me. Richard was assigned to me and immediately I found him very easy to work with and our sessions very useful. His experience in the recruitment industry and in recruiting and hiring people himself for several different roles meant that Richard had a deep knowledge to draw from and he could get under the skin of the role and decode it for me. He understood what the hiring manager was looking for and helped me find answers drawn from my own experience. He also helped me in structuring my answers so they are succint and clear. He always tells me "Less is more" which is true in my case. I would highly recommend Richard if you are wanting to make a career move and are serious about landing that job. I signed up to receive career advice and outplacement support from Rich after leaving my previous company of 8 years.
Finding a new job in a new sector during a pandemic was certainly a challenge, but Richard was so helpful at helping me plot my new course. From our first meeting, I was immediately set at ease by him warm, friendly demeanour. He had spent some time before our session looking at my CV, picking out highlights from my experience and skillset and mapping out a few potential directions I could go in, whilst also advising on the likelihood of success in each and what I would need to do to get there. For someone who had worked in one industry and at one company for a significant chunk of time, this advice was invaluable.
Once I started receiving interviews, Rich also provided some great interview coaching, and did some research on the companies I was applying to in order to offer tailored advice. He even gave me a call for a pep talk the evening before an interview. This was going above and beyond and was something that showed me how much Rich cares about his clients.
